The band pose outside Abbey Road wearing 3D glasses
Keane are set to broadcast a performance live on the internet in 3D.
The group will stream the gig live from legendary recording studio Abbey Road at 8.00pm on Thursday night.
Keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley explained that the trio are nervous about the broadcast, which has never been done before.
"There's a lot of technology and a lot of things that could go wrong, but I think that's what makes it so exciting," he told Newsbeat.
Fans will need to get hold of a pair of 3D glasses to enjoy the gig, which will be shown on Keane's website.
The group, who released their third album Perfect Symmetry last year, are particularly excited about recording at Abbey Road.
"It's such an amazing place," explained Rice-Oxley.
"One of the incredible things about it is that a lot of the instruments that The Beatles used, for example, are still here, they're still working."
The keyboardist reckons more and more bands will broadcast gigs in 3D in the future.
"I think the key is making the performance feel just as exciting as when you're at Brixton Academy or whatever, being in that room, and I think the 3D thing is a step towards that.
"Yeah, I think it's the future."
