She told Newsbeat Lady GaGa has already paid for a trip to the St Tropez fake tanning booth, ready to walk the red carpet in her trademark big knicker-style hot pants.
"I've just seen her on stage and she looks all bronzed to perfection," Jo tells Newsbeat.
"She is a fan of the tan. She might come and have another one later. She had a male tanner and I think he quite liked it."
All very pleasant but where will the stars be drinking? The artist bar, that's where.
This year it's kitted out with a festival theme - outside inside, according to designer Bruce French.
"We've got flickering fires, hay bale chairs, caravans for the artists to hang out in," he says.
"There need to be areas where they can be really private and chill as they have to spend so much time doing interviews and that kind of thing."
Host Mat Horne's munching on what look like noodles, possibly working out what to say to Kylie next, while Alesha Dixon is touring the backstage area with a camera crew.
Brit Awards menu
Starter: Tatin of caramelised beetroot and shallots with Bosworth Ash goats cheese brulee served with a winter salad
Main course: Duck confit or roasted vegetable hash
Dessert: Miniature selection of desserts
There's also a slightly random fake woolly sheep. It's a regular feature of the Brit awards artist bar apparently and this year it's been customised with wellies.
We're told it didn't go down too well with Girls Aloud's dogs, when they brought them along to rehearsals.
"There's a pool table," continues designer Bruce. "Food, drink and Coldplay - over there."
It is indeed Coldplay, getting ready to rehearse their performance.
They're up for four Brits this year, leading the nominations with Duffy.
First though it's a game of pool, a smile for Newsbeat's camera and a box of falafels to unwind.
Newsbeat later spots Chris Martin fully unwound, pushing an unidentified squealing mate around the dressing room corridors on an office chair to pass the time.
There are 40 dressing rooms and apparently they're all the same size, no matter who they're for.
Basically pop up walls with sofas inside, although note Take That have black leather seating while U2 will be resting up on what looked like purple velvet.
Chocolate, a camera and sandals are in the Brits spa goody bag
A cleaner is hoovering Girls Aloud's dressing room when we pass, clearing away multiple cola cans.
More exciting is what the 4,600 guests will be munching on during the ceremony.
How about tatin of caramelised beetroot and shallots with Bosworth Ash goats cheese brulee served with a winter salad. And that's just for starters.
Try duck confit or roasted vegetable hash for main and a miniature selection of desserts if there's any room.
Don't think many will be going home empty-handed either. Not when there's a goody bag or three to be had.
As well as the spa section's freebies, the official goody bag is packed full of hundreds of pounds worth of loveliness.
All winners, presenters, hosts and performers get one. There's a Grazia subscription, beach bag, Missoni scarf, jewellery, T-shirts, Eve Lom travel kit, private members club membership, dolls and chocolate. And at co-host Kylie's request, a bottle of her finest Couture fragrance.
"She wanted everyone to have one," spa queen Jo Foxtouchener tells Newsbeat. "It's very sweet."
