Franz Ferdinand have confirmed they will play this year's Glastonbury festival.
The Glasgow band highlighted their appearance via their MySpace page.
The band will appear on the Saturday of the festival which takes place between 26-28 June in Somerset.
Other heavily rumoured names set to join Franz Ferdinand at the Somerset bash include Blur, Bruce Springsteen, The Specials and Neil Young.
Band return
Alex Kapranos and co - the first major band to confirm themselves - will return to the festival after playing a 'secret' set at the festival's Emily Eavis curated Park Stage in 2008.
The band released their third album Tonight: Franz Ferdinand on 26 January.
Before their summer festival appearances the foursome will kick off a UK tour by supporting The Cure at London's O2 on 26 February.
As previously reported, tickets to 2009's Glastonbury festival are now sold out.
