Download Festival dates confirmed
Download Festival

The dates for next year's Download Festival 2009 have been confirmed.

The three-day heavy rock festival, which last year saw KISS, The Offspring and Lostprophets headlining, will take place over the weekend of 12-14 June.

No bands have yet been confirmed for the event, which is to be held at Donington Park, Leicestershire.

Download has been nominated in several categories at the forthcoming UK Festival Awards including best major festival and best line-up.

Other categories the three-day event has been shortlisted for are best headline act and most memorable moment for KISS.

Previous headliners at Download include Iron Maiden, Metallica and Guns N' Roses.

Ticket details will be announced in the coming weeks.
