A song from Oasis's forthcoming album, Dig Out Your Soul, has appeared online.

Falling Down features Noel Gallagher on lead vocals.

The track kicks off with fuzzy sounding computer static before an acoustic guitar and drumbeat join in and the song starts sounding remarkably similar to The Beatles' psychedelic masterpiece Tomorrow Never Knows, from their Revolver album.

A Chemical Brothers remix of the track will feature as a B-side to The Shock Of The Lightning, the first single from the new album.

The band released a snippet of the song on their website a fortnight ago.

Noel Gallagher is bringing the single in for its first official play on the Chris Molyes Breakfast Show on Radio 1 on 15 August.

It is due for release on 29 September.

Oasis will tour the UK later this year with dates to be announced shortly.

It is also exactly 13 years to the day since Oasis released Roll With It from their second album (What's the Story) Morning Glory?.

It reached number two in the UK singles chart.
