The Rumble Strips remixed Amy Winehouse's Back To Black
|
Super-producer Mark Ronson has signed British five-piece The Rumble Strips to his own record label.
The band are the first band on Ronson's new Allido label.
He apparently heard the band's remix of Amy Winehouse's Back To Black and both he and Winehouse agreed the track was better than theirs.
Ronson, who is producing the new Kaiser Chiefs album, is also set to produce the next record by The Rumble Strips.
The album is scheduled for release around spring 2009. It is the follow up to their acclaimed Girls and Weather debut album which reached just number 70 in the album chart in September last year.
The band share a similar love of woodwind and brass instruments and regularly use saxophones and trumpets on their records.
Singer Charlie Waller also used to perform with London band Vincent Vincent and the Villains
The Rumble Strips are due to tour the UK in October.
