Crystal Castles' set was cut short at Glastonbury

Crystal Castles have cancelled a September UK tour blaming 'recording commitments'.

The electro punk band, who hail from Canada, have axed all but one of the dates. They will play a show at London's Electric Ballroom on 18 September.

Crystal Castles, which features Ethan Kath and vocalist Alice Glass, released their self-titled debut album in March. They are gaining a reputation as a brilliant chaotic live act.

Their set on the John Peel stage at Glastonbury in June was cut short after Glass attempted to climb the lighting rigging and threw herself repeatedly into the audience.

They will still play festivals dates in August including the Reading & Leeds festivals and Hydro Connect festival in Scotland

Crystal Castles' new single, Vanished, will be released on 22 September.
