Oasis post new song clip online

Oasis were given a Silver Clef for their contribution to music

Oasis have posted a clip of their new single The Shock Of the Lightning online.

The 20-second snippet, available on YouTube, appears at the end of a short montage of their hit records.

The track is due out on 29 September.

It will be followed by Oasis' seventh album, Dig Out Your Soul, which will be released on 6 October.

The album was recorded at Abbey Road studios in London.

It has been three years since the band's last album, Don't Believe The Truth.

In July, Oasis were presented with a Silver Clef award for their outstanding contribution to music.
