The Futureheads
The Futureheads to play at Mote Park

Editors and The Raconteurs will headline the In New Music We Trust Stage at Radio 1's Big Weekend.

The bands will play at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent over the weekend of 10-11 May.

The line-up also includes performances from The Wombats, The Zutons and Hot Chip.

Registration for the 30,000 ticket event is now open, limited to two per person. Last year more than half a million listeners applied for tickets.

Guillemots are also on the line-up. Singer Fyfe Dangerfield is looking forward to it.

He told Newsbeat: "It's the first festival we'll have done in ages so we'll be getting in the spirit.

"We'll be running around, partying."

The Futureheads are playing the same day, alongside We Are Scientists, Foals, Vampire Weekend and The Ting Tings.

Singer Barry Hyde said: "This year I'm really looking forward to seeing The Zutons because it's been a while since we saw them play and we went on tour with them.

"It'll be good to catch up and chat about the good old days."

The line-up on the In New Music... stage is rounded off by Gallows and Lethal Bizzle, Pendulum, Justice and Black Kids.

The line-up for the Introducing Stage has also been announced.

The main stage will be headlined by Madonna and The Kooks.
