Jak and Saul from The Metros

Looking for all the world like a couple of naughty schoolboys, The Metros' Jak Payne and Saul Adamczewski were a bit sheepish when asked about their growing reputation for bed behaviour.

So far, they have been banned from a hotel chain in the UK and kicked off The Coral's tour after one too many dressing rooms were trashed and expensive bits of kit equipment broken.

The south London band insist they have started to behave themselves.

Jak explained: "The first two dates of our last tour, we got thrown out of our own gigs and then we smashed up a hotel room and caused about two grand worth of damage.

"But then all our tour team threatened to leave and so the rest of the tour not much happened.

"Except Charlie (the band's bassist) got his nose broken by a kebab shop owner in Manchester."

The band occasionally stop fighting long enough to make some decent music. Their debut single, Education Pt2, was released on 17 March.

An album is due to follow later in the year and according to the lads, it will surprise people.

Payne said: "I really like it and it's not necessarily what you'd expect from hearing Education, it fits least into the whole album vibe."
