Chris Martin has revealed the name of Coldplay's new album. It is called Viva la Vida and is due out on 17 June.
Viva La Vida is Coldplay's fourth studio album
Martin apparently chose the name after seeing the phrase, which means "long live life", on a painting by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
The painter, played by Salma Hayek in a 2002 film, suffered from polio and chronic pain for decades.
Martin said: "I just loved the boldness of it."
Though he admits it probably will not be the first name that people with think of, on hearing the title.
Martin told Rolling Stone: "Everyone thinks it comes from Ricky Martin, which is fine. I have absolute respect.
"I've been through this before, naming something or someone and everyone saying 'That's a terrible name'.
"I'll be proved to be right eventually."
Coldplay are set to perform at the Pemberton Music festival in Canada on 25-27 July.
