Reverend and the Makers frontman Jon McClure has revealed the working title of the band's next album.

It's set to be called A French Kiss In The Chaos.

McClure explained: "The meaning behind it is, in the past we had a load of people who spoke out against the man.

"We had John Lennon, Bob Marley, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Public Enemy and the Manic Street Preachers.

"Rather than congratulating the rebels of the past for stopping Vietnam, what about looking at our modern day Vietnam in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"In short, there's a bit of chaos in the world and I'm trying to provide a French kiss in the midst of it.

"A bit of sense and a bit of truth in the middle of all this madness."

The Rev is heading to Liverpool to play alongside Gorillaz' Damon Albarn for an Africa Express gig in Liverpool on 6 March.

The band will then head into the studio later in the month to start work on the next record.

McClure said "I've got a lot more political tunes and also political poetry."

You have been warned.
