Ewan McGregor joined Hollywood stars like Tom Hanks for the world premiere of Dan Brown novel Angels & Demons in Rome. The actor plays a papal official in the sequel to The Da Vinci Code.
Director Ron Howard, lead actor Tom Hanks and novelist Dan Brown were also in Rome for the Angels & Demons premiere. Tom Hanks plays Professor Robert Langdon for the second time.
In the new film, Tom Hanks tries to stop a secret society called the Illuminati from destroying Vatican City in Italy. He said: "This [film] is like bang bang bang. There's no time for anything."
The Da Vinci Code director Ron Howard was in charge of his second Dan Brown book to be turned into a movie: "Everyone is telling me that they find this film more entertaining and more exciting."
Israeli actress Ayelet Zurer plays Vittoria Vetra, a scientist whose experiment with antimatter is stolen by secret society the Illuminati to be used as a bomb. The film's out on 14 May in the UK.
