In Pictures: Damned United premiere

Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall

The Damned United stars Michael Sheen and Timothy Spall pose on the red carpet on Wednesday night. The film tells the story of legendary manager Brian Clough's 1974 season with Leeds United.

Gabby Logan

Gabby Logan also turned up for the premiere. Brian Clough lasted only a disastrous 44 days as Leeds United manager before he was sacked - the team won only one of six games they played during his tenure.

Louisa Lytton

EastEnders and Strictly Come Dancing star Louisa Lytton arrived at the premiere in a unique lacy outfit. Some of Clough's family have criticised The Damned United and the novel it is based on.

Jim Broadbent

Veteran British actor Jim Broadbent also stars in the film, which is released across the UK on Friday 27 March.

Bianca Gascoigne

The premiere attracted relatives of football royalty - Paul Gascoigne's model daughter Bianca sported a risque dress on the red carpet.
