Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway picked up the best actress award at the event. "I'm so lucky," she told reporters. "Designers like John Franco Ferre keep making amazing dresses for me to wear."

Ben Stiller

Ben Stiller took home an award for best comedy for Tropic Thunder. He wrote, directed, produced and starred in the film.

Clint Eastwood

Movie legend Clint Eastwood turned up to the Critics' Choice Awards in Santa Monica with his wife Dina.

Danny Boyle

Trainspotting director Danny Boyle accepted the award for best director for Slumdog Millionaire. He said: "I shouldn't really take any of the credit. It's the city [Mumbai] that should take the credit."

Eva Longoria Parker

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker also turned up to the awards. The actress won a People's Choice Award in 2007.

Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale, who starred in Snow Angels and Nothing But The Truth last year, was nominated for the best actress award at the ceremony for the latter film.

Katy Perry

I Kissed A Girl singer Katy Perry presented the best song award at the awards. The accolade was won by Bruce Springsteen.

Sean Penn

Sean Penn took home the best actor award for his part as gay politician Harvey Milk in the Gus Van Sant biopic Milk.
