The first series of Little Britain USA makes its debut in America at the beginning of October and is also due to air in the UK on BBC One this autumn. New characters include bodybuilders Tom and Mark.

David Walliams as Bing Gordyn

Retired US astronaut Bing Gordyn also joins the list of new characters dreamed up by David Walliams (above) and partner Matt Lucas. The US version of the BBC series was filmed entirely in America.

David Walliams as Carol Beer

Carol Beer works in a travel agency but is rude to all the customers she deals with. The show features former Friends actor David Schwimmer, who directed sequences filmed with a studio audience.

David Walliams and Matt Lucas as Sandra and George

Sandra and George are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to the United States. Other new characters include Ellie Grace, a little girl with the mouth of a truck driver.

Matt Lucas as Marjorie Dawes

Classic Little Britain characters return in the US version like Marjorie Dawes, the insensitive leader of a chapter of the weight-loss support group Fat Fighters. There's also the only gay in the village, Dafydd.

David Walliams and Matt Lucas as Lou and Andy

Lou and his seemingly wheelchair-bound best friend Andy also appear in Little Britain USA. Motor-mouthed teenage delinquent Vicky Pollard makes an appearance too in an American boot camp.
