George Clooney's ex-girlfriend Lisa Snowdon will be pairing up with ladies man Brendan Cole who won the first series of Strictly with television presenter Natasha Kaplinksky.

Gary Rhodes

Celebrity chef Gary Rhodes is known for his distinctive hair style. It remains to be seen whether the restauranteur, who has also fronted shows like Masterchef, will bring the same flair to his costumes.

Jessie Wallace

Actress Jessie Wallace played the fiery Kat Slater - who was also controversially Zoe's mum - in EastEnders. She's previously appeared in BBC drama A Class Apart and ITV series Wild At Heart.

Gillian Taylforth

Gillian Taylforth is probably best known as Ian's mum Kathy in EastEnders back in the day (ever wondered where the café gets its name?). She also starred as Jackie Pascoe in Footballers' Wives.

Phil Daniels

Phil Daniels completes the trio of EastEnders' actors. He played Kevin in the soap but has a huge back catalogue of TV and film appearances including 1970s classic Quadrophenia.

Jodie Kidd

Model Jodie Kidd is famous for her love of all things sporty including horse riding and motor racing. She will be partnering Ian Waite who has previously teamed up with Zoe Ball.

John Sergeant

Sixty-four-year-old journalist John Sergeant is one of the most surprising entries. The veteran reporter has regularly appeared as a panellist on Have I Got News For You and Room 101.

Heather Small

Soul singer Heather Small is probably best known for her part in Manchester-based band M people. For series six she will be dancing with new professional Brian Fortuna.

Don Warrington

Actor Don Warrington has starred in Doctor Who, Lovejoy and Red Dwarf after making his name as Philip Smith in 1970s drama Rising Damp. He's also been in a recent series of coffee ads.

Mark Foster

Olympic swimmer Mark Foster carried the British flag at the opening ceremony of this year's games. The 38-year-old will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of previous winners like Darren Gough.

Christine Bleakley

Northern Irish-born Christine Bleakley currently co-hosts The One Show with Adrian Chiles. She will be dancing with Matthew Cutler who won the last series with partner Alesha Dixon.

Ola Jordan and Andrew Castle

GMTV presenter Andrew Castle has a sporty background - having once been a professional tennis player. His dancing partner for the new series will be Ola Jordan.

Tom Chambers

Actor Tom Chambers plays the character Sam Strachan in Holby City. This series he will team up with Camilla Dallerup who danced with Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones for series five.

Cherie Lunghi

Actress Cherie Lunghi has most recently appeared in Casualty but she's also been in dramas like Dalziel And Pascoe, the Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, The Brief and Cutting It.

Austin Healey

Rugby player Austin Healey has represented England and the British Lions. He will be taking to the dancefloor with Erin Boag who was partnered with snooker champion Willie Thorne last time round.
