Stormtroopers guard the red carpet at the US premiere of The Clone Wars - the animated film based on the Star Wars franchise. The film is out in the UK on 15 August.
The movie tells the tale of Anakin Skywalker's adventures before he turned to the Dark Side. It also features familiar characters like Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jabba the Hutt and R2D2.
Actress Ashley Eckstein provides the voice for one of the movie's main characters Ahsoka Tano - a mischevious teenage Jedi apprentice that Anakin takes under his wing.
Matt Lanter plays Anakin Skywalker and Catherine Taber provides the voice for his future wife, Padme Amidala. Samuel L Jackson and Christopher Lee also lend their voices to characters in the film.
The film's director Dave Filoni - looking a little like Indiana Jones - poses on the red carpet. He is also involved with the spin-off Clone Wars animated TV series that begins this autumn in the US.
Star Wars creator George Lucas also showed up and pleased the fans outside Hollywood's famous Egyptian theatre by signing autographs.
