Connie Fisher, 25, is the daughter of a major in the British army

It has been five months since singer and actress Connie Fisher stepped down as Maria in the Sound of Music.
She's been keeping busy with a new album and a film for ITV which we'll get to see this Christmas.
Before all that, the winner of BBC TV show How Do You Solve A Problem Like Maria? has a new show opening in London on Monday 4 August.
It's called They're Playing Our Song and is a light hearted love story between a composer and lyricist.
She said: "I was offered a lot of roles that were very similar to Maria and I just thought, 'That's so predictable.'
"This has given me the opportunity to sing pop songs because it's all about a lyricist and a composer, which is great for me."
Different role
Maria was Connie Fisher's first role in London's West End but says she isn't worried about taking on a totally different part for her second play.
She said: "There was massive hype around it and so much pressure and having done it for a year and a half I suppose I just got used to it and got used to the circles you move in whilst you're in London.
"It was a great experience. I made so many friends and learnt so much by being thrown in the deep end as a leading lady and having such a massive track."
Connie Fisher plays a lyricist, Sonia Walsk, who's paired with successful but neurotic composer, Vernon Gersch, played by impressionist Alistair McGowan.
She says it's a pleasure working with him.
"I was a bit star struck when I first met him. I'd seen him in Little Shop Of Horrors, I'd seen him in the West End and I suppose I got used to him not being David Beckham or Dot Cotton."
They're Playing Our Song is on at the Menier Chocolate Factory in Southwark, south London.
