Radio 1 goes back to Balearics

Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong will be in Ibiza on Friday 1 August

Radio 1 has announced its line-up of summer weekend shows including live specials from Ibiza and Mallorca.

The station will also be broadcasting from the T in the Park music festival at Balado in Angus from 11-13 July.

Scott Mills is taking his karaoke game, Barryoke, to Barry in south Wales while Chris Moyles will do two shows from Newquay in Cornwall on Friday 8 August.

There will also be coverage from the Reading, Leeds and Creamfields festivals and Notting Hill Carnival.

Summer highlights

Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac will be at T in the Park on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July between 1-4pm.

She'll be back on Monday 14 July with Vic Galloway from 9pm until midnight with highlights including sets by KT Tunstall and Rage Against The Machine.

Vernon Kay will be live from Ibiza between 4-7pm on 1 August

Judge Jules, Dave Pearce and early morning presenter Greg James then head to Mallorca on Friday 18 July for three shows starting at 4pm from outside the BCM club.

Next up is Scott Mills in Barry on Friday 25 July followed by two days in Ibiza on Friday 1 and Saturday 2 August.

Vernon Kay will start the live shows from 4pm on the Friday followed by sets from Pete Tong, Annie Mac's Mash Up and an extended Essential mix from Amnesia.

Radio 1 will also join sister station 1Xtra on Saturday 2 August for a live performance from Dizzee Rascal.

Chris Moyles and his team then do two shows from Newquay on Friday 8 August including his normal breakfast stint between 6.30-10am and a show live from the Boardmasters festival between 4-7pm.
