This year's series has 16 contestants competing for the £100,000 prize. They include a blind cross-dressing comedian, a toy demonstrator, a chef and a Christian sales assistant.
Regular host Davina McCall is back for her ninth series. At the end of the first show she said two of the housemates would be told they must get married on air.
Blonde bombshell Stephanie is a 19-year-old student from Liverpool. She and fellow housemate Mario, 42, must try and fool the others that they are in a relationship.
Alexandra De-Gale - a 23-year-old single mum and accounts executive - says she is famous in her home town of Croydon. She was booed by the crowd as she entered the house.
Dale Howard, 21, is a PE teaching student from Liverpool and said he would "stab anyone in the back" to get his hands on the £100,000 prize money.
The last person into the house was Kathreya Kasisopa - a 30-year-old message therapist from Thailand, but now living in Kent. She was well-recieved by the crowds on her way in.
Mikey Hughes, 33, is a blind radio producer from Ayrshire in Scotland. He also enjoys doing a bit of stand-up comedy while wearing women's clothes.
Showing off his theatrical side, 23-year-old dance student Dennis enters the house for what could be a 13-week stint of fun and frolics.
Mohamed Mohamed, 23, was born in Somalia but is now a toy demonstrator in London. He told his fellow housemates that he was shaking with nerves.
Kindergarten nurse, Rebecca Shiner, 21, bigged-up her home town of Coventry by repeatedly shouting its name to the crowd as she went in.
Rex Newmark, 24, is an executive chef from London. Perhaps ironic then that he still lives at home and has his meals cooked by the family housekeeper.
