WEEK 3 - Sunday 27th May 2001

We planned to broadcast the fourth in our series of interviews with the main party leaders, with the prime minister, Tony Blair.

Unfortunately on Friday afternoon Labour headquarters said Mr Blair would not be available this weekend.

Despite that we assessed the most important of all Labour's proposals for its second term - its plans to reform the public services, bringing in more private involvement.
