Bulls' Newton handed ban and fine

Bradford hooker Terry Newton has been handed a three-match ban and a £300 fine by the Rugby Football League after being found guilty of a high tackle.
The Bulls said they now intend to appeal against the decision.
Newton tackled Leeds prop Jamie Thackray during Leeds' win on Sunday and the incident was placed on report by referee Steve Ganson.
Newton will miss Sunday's Challenge Cup match at Wakefield and Super League ties with Huddersfield and Harlequins.
It is the second time Newton has been disciplined by the RFL this year as he was found guilty of striking St Helens' Jon Wilkin in March and given a two-match suspension.
