US & Australia in women's final

The United States will bid to win their fourth straight women's basketball gold after beating Russia 67-52 to set up a final clash against Australia.

Diana Taurasi was their most potent player, scoring 21 points.

Australia, who won silver in 2000 and 2004, beat China 90-56 with Lauren Jackson scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds and Belinda Snell adding 16.

Australia have lost to the Americans in the past two women's basketball finals at the Olympic Games.
