Keep climbing Adam! The zip wire does count as a mode of transport

BBC Radio York's Adam Tomlinson is taking on his biggest challenge to help raise funds for this year's Children in Need fundraising effort.

He's donning the guise of Jules Verne's hero, Phileas Fogg to travel around North Yorkshire.

Adam isn't planning on crossing the county in '80 days', instead he is planning to travel in '80 ways'.

Adam is hoping to cover a distance of 400 miles in just five days beginning on Monday November 15 and ending in York on Children in Need day, Friday 19 November.

From ice cream vans to skateboards, no method of transport is being ruled out as Adam races to reach that magic number of 80.

Day one saw Adam clock up 15 different modes of transport as he travelled from York to Harrogate and on his second day he faced his biggest fear, heights, by riding the zip wire at Bewerley Park near Pateley Bridge.

You can follow Adam's progress on the below map and on BBC Radio York all this week.

We know times are hard, but if you can afford to help Adam raise as much as possible for the BBC Children in Need appeal here's how.
