When it comes to raising money for Children in Need, the wilder and wackier the idea - the better!

Pudsey wants to let everyone know what you're doing to raise money

Last year you certainly stepped up to the bar and organised some fantastic fundraising events and amazing stunts.

We want to know what you're up to this year. Let Pudsey and the rest of North Yorkshire know what you're doing by emailing us.

Don't forget to let us know how many pounds you raised for Pudsey and send us pictures of your event too.

Join BBC Radio York at York railway station on Friday 20 November when staff and some special guests will be busking for Children in Need.

If you are a whizz on the piano or a fantastic singer, either solo or in a band or choir, and you can spare us half an hour of your time, we'd love you to come and join in the fun. You can either ring 01904 641351 or email us via the link above.

If you're shopping in Sainsbury's in Scarborough between 16 and 22 November you can have your photograph taken with Pudsey. It'll cost you £5 with all the money going to Children in Need.

Local band, The Directors, will be playing at the Alexandra, Prospect Place, Harrogate on Friday 20 November in aid of Children in Need. They'll be playing classic rock, pop and soul covers and you can sponsor a song or get up and sing with the band. They will be joined by former Emmerdale and I'm a Celebrity star, Malandra Burrows.

On Thursday 19th November, Thirsk Garden Centre will be donating 10% of all sales to Children in Need. There will be entertainment from the Evergreens and you can have a glass of mulled wine.

The Ship Inn, Strensall is holding a raffle and the grand draw will be on Friday 20 November when the staff will be going to work in their pyjamas for the night!

Children in Need fundraising stunts

As usual, people are organising some fairly wild and wacky stunts to raise pounds for Pudsey! Here's a selection of some of the crazy things going on...

The Chief Executive of Eurosafe UK on Clifton Moor will be sitting in a paddling pool full of baked beans in the staff car park. Staff are sponsoring her and she's raised over £200 so far!

Pupils at Ashville College in Harrogate will be holding several fundraising events on Children in Need day. They'll be able to bid for the services of a prefect for the day; they're holding a talent show and selling cakes and biscuits.

Raymond Bone and friends will be entertaining on the streets of Skipton with street mime on Friday 20 November.

Mark Starzynski will be kindly donating 50% of every repair job his IT business does for one month starting on Children in Need day - Friday 20 November.

Pudsey visited Wedderburn Infant and Nursery School to launch their Smartie tube challenge. All the children were given an empty tube for them to fill with coins for Children in Need. The sweets have been put in class bags for the children to guess how many there are. On the day they'll be dressing 'spotty and dotty' and bringing teddies to school to join in with lots of Pudsey games. They're also holding a cake sale and a Pudsey drive.

The children at Weaverthorpe CE Primary School near Malton will be sponsoring their teachers to dye their hair red and the children themselves will be dressing up in red and yellow. That's all happening on Children in Need day, Friday 20 November.

Shhh... Mark Stocks is staying quiet all in aid of Children in Need. He'll be doing a sponsored silence on Friday 20 November at Henshaw's College for the Blind in Harrogate.

Having not had a haircut for over a year, John Dunbar is changing his style from James May to Yul Brynner! The transformation will take place at Nidd Vale Motors in Harrogate, where John works, on Friday 20 November.

Danielle Underwood and her friends will be dressing up as fairies at Selby College on Children in Need day, Friday 20 November.

Jessica Greasley and her friends are doing a three-legged run round Catterick Garrison on Saturday 14th November.

There's no going back from this fund-raising effort by the staff of The Slinky Ink tattoo studio in Catterick Garrison. On Saturday 14 November, they plan to have a Pudsey Bear tattoo!
