Swindon-born actor Lyndon Ogbourne's character Nathan Wylde is currently making waves on ITV soap opera Emmerdale.

Since arriving at Home Farm in February 2009, sociopath Nathan has lied, cheated and manipulated.

In the current storyline, Nathan is blackmailing his lover Leyla after she begins to regret their affair and cheating on her partner David.

Lyndon, 25, says its fun to play such a wicked character.

"I've been lucky enough to be thrown some nice storylines and it's been great to create this really corrupt character," he said.

"It's very nice to be able to play someone so different from myself!"

Lyndon was born and bred in Swindon. Part of the Swindon Young Actors group he enjoyed drama from a young age.

He even enjoyed an adolescent romance with fellow Swindon star Billie Piper when they attended drama club together.

After appearing on stage at the Wyvern Theatre and Arts Centre in Swindon, he decided he'd like to pursue acting as a career.

And despite his young age, he already has a number of TV appearances under his belt including, Doctors, Robin Hood and hit drama Spooks.
