It veered from footballer, policeman, sailor and Blue Peter presenter.
What's your happiest memory?
The birth of my children.
What's your worst memory?
Tipping a plate of roast chicken and all the trimmings over a Wedding guest when I was waitering or being tossed by a bull in Spain - both were equally painful. Cutting up livers in freezing cold blood in big green plastic bins at seven in the morning!
Most interesting person you have interviewed for radio?
BB King was my first interview, and Bobby Robson was constantly interesting.
Best thing about your show?
The unpredictability of every game.
Who you would most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?
Shakespeare - to ask if he did write all those plays.
Where you are when you get most of your inspiration or creative thoughts?
Usually in my car.
What are your ambitions?
For my children to grow up healthy and happy.
A bronze Sony Award...at least it leaves me something to strive for!
Where you like to go for quiet moments?
Memories of teachers at school?
I had a headmistress at primary school in Devon who was straight out of Dickens. I think she was a witch!
What are your bad habits?
Not letting people finish their sentences.
What are your good habits?
Saying thank you when someone holds the door open for me.
