Q&A

Place of birth:

Lancaster.

Favourite view in the north-east of England?

The Angel of the North.

Best thing about working in radio?

Discovering something I haven't heard before.

First record you bought?

Come Dancing by The Kinks. Although strictly speaking I saved up wrappers from Flake bars and it arrived in the post.

If you were making a time capsule what would you put in it?

Myself! I'd love to wake up in the future and see what was going on.

What couldn't you live without?

Brown sauce.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

An astronaut, I think.

What was your first job?

Paperboy. Delivering free newspapers in a village with some incredibly long drive ways and big dogs!

What keeps you awake at night?

Thinking too much.

Who would you most enjoy being stuck in a lift with?

I don't think I'd enjoy being stuck in a lift.

Any bad habits?

Too many to mention here.

What makes you angry?

Anything to do with Simon Cowell.

If you ruled the world what would you change?

I'd ban all those reality TV music/talent shows and give the time to genuinely creative new bands and artists.
