North East fireworks displays

Our guide to a few of the fireworks displays going on across the region this weekend.

Tynemouth

Wherever you live, there's a fireworks display to choose from!

Cricket Club 7 November

Tynemouth cricket club on Preston Avenue, North Shields, are having a fireworks display on Saturday 7 November.

The display starts at 8:00pm.

There is a licensed bar, fairground attractions and refreshments.

Tickets cost £3 for adults, £2 for children and £8 for a family ticket (2 children, 2 adults, bought before the event).

Northumberland

Morpeth 8 November

Morpeth Rugby Club on Mitford Road are holding a bonfire and fireworks display on Sunday.

The Bonfire will be lit at 6:00pm and the display starts at 8:00pm.

Tickets cost £4 for Adults and £2 for under 12's.

South Tyneside

Pleasure Park 8 November

There are two displays in South Tyneside (note change of date for Sunday 8 November).

There will be a short display at 6:30pm at Ocean Beach Pleasure Park, with a bigger display at 8:00pm behind the park on South Shields sea front.

Both displays are free and the fairground will be open from 12:00pm until 10:00pm.

Seafront car parks will be open until 10:30pm and there will be additional parking spaces in Bents Park.
