Tyne and Wear Metro - the Musical is being released on DVD to help raise funds for the BBC's Children in Need appeal.

The project, created and directed by Benjamin Till, celebrates 30 years of the Tyne and Wear Metro.

Amateur and professional musicians and singers from across the north-east of England were invited to audition and were then filmed across the region.

The musical's premier was broadcast on BBC Look North on 24 March.

People can now buy the DVD which not only includes the full musical video but lots of extras such as interviews with the cast, local people's stories and how the musical came about.

The DVD will cost £10 which includes postage and packing. £5 from the sale of each DVD will benefit BBC Children in Need.
