One of the best loved clergymen in the Diocese of St Albans bade farewell in a special service at the Cathedral.
The Bishop of Hertford Christopher Foster has served in the Diocese for 16 years...
as Sub Dean and then the Suffragen Bishop of Hertford from 2001.
The congregation was made up of clergy from Hertfordshire colleagues past and present
including Bishop Christopher Herbert who retired in 2008 and was making his first return to St Albans.
Colleagues spoke of Chris Foster's personal skills and his sense of humour.
Bishop Christopher also said farewell to secretary of 8 and a half years Pip Austin
Both Bishop Christopher and Sally will be missed... We wish them happiness and success in their new calling.
