Pudsey and friends at Hartlepool's Maritime Experience
|
Hartlepool's Maritime Experience has been chosen as the North-East location for this year's Children in Need event. It will include music, dance, theatre, comedy and all the fun and surprises you expect from Children in Need! Taking place on Friday 20 November from 6pm until 10pm, the event will end with a fireworks display. Look North's Jeff Brown, Trai Anfield and BBC Tees' Diane Youdale will be presenting the show as part of BBC One's coverage. Hartlepool's Maritime Experience will be open for free during the broadcast, and it's hoped the visitors will join in the fun with fancy dress, and take part in the fund raising events happening around the Trincomalee.
Trai juggling, the town crier bellowing, and Pudsey with his trademark wave!

Councillor Victor Tumilty said: "I'm delighted that the BBC has chosen the town to host this year's appeal. "Hartlepool people are well-known for lending a hand to help others in need, so I'm sure we'll give Pudsey Bear and his friends a tremendous welcome." Andy Cooper, BBC Look North Editor, said: "We want people to come along on the night and raise lots of money for the good causes that we support." BBC Tees will be at the event, with a family friendly weather workshop, where you can try your hand at being the next Trai Anfield. There'll also be juggling, jesters and clowns, as well as the change to get your face painted like Pudsey, or make yourself a Pudsey hand-puppet.
