Alex will be a familiar radio voice to generations across Teesside and County Durham. She was born in Nuneaton in Warwickshire, but has worked in radio for a big chunk of her life.

She loves radio for its intimacy and immediacy, and for the chance to work with great stimulating people.

She always tries to make everyone else's life better, and was once described by a date as 'an overdose of chocolate'.
