Join Ali Monday - Friday 6pm - 8pm and on Saturdays for Saturday Sport 2pm - 6pm.

After many years away from the BBC, in 2008 Alastair returned to the station where he was given his first chance to report on his beloved Boro.

Alastair was born in Byelands Street, Middlesbrough, within shouting distance of Ayresome Park and can often be seen walking his dog, Benjamin, along the beach at Redcar.

Alastair began his career working in a bank before, in 1982, the BBC offered him the chance to report on Boro.
