The Middlesbrough Mela is an annual event, taking place in Albert Park
Middlesbrough Mela will be celebrating its 21st birthday in style this year - and there are opportunities for everyone to get involved.
The weekend-long event takes place in Albert Park in Middlesbrough, and last year brought in nearly 40,000 people.
This year's coming of age event will take place over the weekend of 16 - 17 July 2011.
And as well as the usual dance, music and food, organisers are asking others to get involved by taking on a stall.
One of the most popular features of the festival is the colourful and vibrant Mela Bazaar, a market area trading in foods from around the world, fashions and fabrics, arts and crafts, as well as activities such as henna, hair braiding and face painting.
The Bazaar is also a great place for businesses, organisations and charities to get their message across to lots of people.
