The Billingham International Folklore Festival is back for the 46th time on 7 August 2010.

Groups from all over the world will take part in eight days of performances.

The cultural heritage of their countries will be portrayed through music and dance, in traditional national dress.

This year, concerts take place at the Town Centre Arena in Billingham and Middlesbrough Theatre.

The first festival only had groups from Austria, Estonia and Hungary and since then the festival hosted over 15000 performers from more then 90 countries.

This year's programme includes artists from the Cook Islands, Greece, Latvia, Russia and Mexico, and workshops and clubs for adults and children.

The festival website is being updated with new acts and workshops and the festival office - can be contacted on 01642 553220.
