Darlington - Saturday 31 October 2009
Celebrating a bit earlier than others, Darlington's event started at 6pm at South Park.
Stockton - Thursday 5 November 2009
From 5:30pm to 9pm, the annual free firework event will be taking place as usual at Riverside Road, Stockton-on-Tees.
Redcar - Thursday 5 November 2009
This year's event with be held at The Stray, between Redcar and Marske. Starting at 7:30pm, there will be a free park and ride service from Majuba Road carpark from 6pm, as the Coast Road will be closed from 6pm until 9pm. For those that prefer a beach bonfire, head over to Skinningrove, where they are continuing the Odin's Glow theme and creating a bonfire from a Viking boat at 6:30pm.
Middlesbrough - Thursday 5 November 2009
Middlesbrough Rugby Club on Green Lane are hosting a bonfire and firework display starting at 6:30pm. There'll also be a BBQ and family friendly activities. Adults £5, children £2 with family concessions.
Hartlepool - Saturday 7 November 2009
Hartlepool's 'fireworks and music spectacular' will take place on the seafront at Seaton Carew, starting at 6:30pm. However there is some family friendly activities running from 4pm. The event is free and there is a park and ride available.
County Durham - Wednesday 4 November 2009
The Annual Wear Valley fireworks display will take place at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club. Starting at 5:30 with a fun fair and refreshments, the lighting of the bonfire starts at 7pm, and the fireworks follow straight after. Parking passes are available for disabled people, and there is no other public parking on site. The Aykley Heads Police Headquarters organise the annual Guy Fawkes celebrations in Durham, featuring fireworks and a bonfire, gates open at 5pm. Refreshments are available and there's ample parking at County Hall. Entrance is £3; children £2; and free for under fives.
Northallerton - Thursday 5 November 2009
The town's main bonfire is on the Applegarth and is organised by firefighters from Northallerton fire station on behalf of the town council. Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks display is at 6.30pm. The fire will be lit around 7.30pm.
