The mother of the Thornaby "family from hell" has spoken out to BBC Tees.

Pamela Nunn was ordered to leave her property under new antisocial behaviour laws on Monday, 21 September, 2009.

Local people say they filed hundreds of incident forms which included details of drug dealing, prostitution and knife fights.

Following the complaints, Stockton Council took out a premise closure order on the house, meaning it had to remain empty for three months.

But complaints continued after Mrs. Nunn was relocated to a house around the corner from her previous home.

BBC Tees' Natalie Boxall asked Pamela Nunn if any of the reports had been followed up by the Council or the police:

"Only one... and that was my son arguing with his girlfriend, then when this council ASBO officer came to my house months later that was all that was mentioned.

"At the court case, I had a barrister and I asked him for advice... he told me to just go in and plead guilty. But why? No I'm not pleading guilty because I am not guilty.

"These people haven't got a clue what mam's and dad's have to put up with when their kids are on drugs. It totally ruins the full family."

'Complete nightmare'

One neighbour told BBC Tees: "There's been needles in front of my door... I've woke up to blood on my door and window, and clothes chucked there covered in blood."

Another said: "There were people fighting in the front street with knives, and condoms in the front street where kids have to walk past.

"We've phoned the police and they don't do anything, it's been a complete nightmare."

Councillor Steve Nelson, Stockton Borough Council's Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety, said:

"This house was an anti-social behaviour magnet and its closure will bring some much needed peace and quiet to the residents of Cheltenham Avenue.

"The Council can not and will not ignore such behaviour and I'd urge any residents dealing with similar problems to get in touch with our Anti-Social Behaviour Team who will do what they can to help."
