Matt Rhodes served in the Devonshire and Dorset Regiment in Germany, Canada and Bosnia, until a motorcycle accident left him paralysed down the right side of his body and registered as blind because of brain damage. But the 34-year-old from Peacehaven has rebuilt his life with the help of St Dunstan's, the charity for blind ex-Service men and women which has a major centre on the Sussex coast at Ovingdean.
