In 2007, Sandhurst trained, former Grenadier Guards officer, Captain Alexander Allan, completed a six month deployment to Helmand Province in Afghanistan - photographing many of his experiences while he was there. The remarkable images, which offer a unique insight into what life was like on patrol and in camp, have now been published in a book - with all profits being donated to The British Limbless Ex Servicemen Association. Take a look at Captain Allan's photographs, as he describes what life was like on the front line.
