Sunday nights on BBC Surrey are reserved for the region's top new bands.

Between 1900 - 2100 specialist music show, BBC Introducing: The South, is broadcast across the south and online via BBC iPlayer.

Presented by Phil Jackson from our studios in Brighton, BBC Introducing: The South showcases unsigned musicians from the region.

Virtually all the music played during the show comes from the demos listeners have sent in.

The show features a demo panel who cast their ears over three artists who've been plucked from the demo bag.

Each week a band are also invited into the studios to play a live session and have a chat with Phil.

The show also brings you the top stories in local and international music news and recommends gigs across the south for the coming week.

All of this is punctuated by an eclectic selection of music by unsigned artists from the region.
