Amy wants to wear those famous red shoes - and follow the Yellow Brick Road
Model and actress Amy Diamond, from Cheshire, is one of the contestants in Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC TV series Over The Rainbow.
The programme is searching for someone suitable for the main role of Dorothy in a new West End production of The Wizard of Oz.
The reality programme runs through April, with a winner chosen by the end of the month.
Amy was recently seen at Stoke's Regent Theatre in its panto, Dick Whittington.
Here, Robert Brown finds out more about Amy's connections to the Wizard of Oz and finds out that she is closer to Dorothy than people think.
The perfect Dorothy?
It's quite a coincidence that Amy should be so close to a role as Dorothy - famous by Judy Garland in the film.
When she was six years old, it was "Over the Rainbow" she sang for her music teacher, and thus discovered her ability to sing. She also chose to sing the song again at the Dick Whittington pantomime launch last year.
What's more, Amy - like the fictional Dorothy - is a dog lover.
She says that her dog Teddy Pom Poms, which she has renamed ToTo, like the Wizard Of Oz dog, is her most prized possession in the world.
She is also a child at heart - and says sweets are her favourite food!
The Over The Rainbow heats have been nerve-wracking. This is no easy journey to the Emerald City.
Live on BBC 1, Amy was praised by some judges - Eastenders actor John Partridge and Welsh opera singer Charlotte Church - for her musical theatre performance.
Although initially dismissed as not looking or sounding like a conventional Dorothy (something the judges themselves have denied that they want), she impressed them with her dancing skills and her singing voice, eventually being chosen to be in the top ten.
Amy Diamond trained at The Hammond School of Dance and Drama in Chester.
She pointed out to me that she was lead vocalist in the global tour of Dancing Queen and the Scandinavian tour of Spirit of Broadway. She was also the lead singer at Christmas with the Osmonds, which toured the United States - and has worked for P&O Cruises.
Most famously, she has done Page 3 modelling too. This might be why Lloyd Webber was not sure of her qualifications. He said that he was "not sure if she looks like a girl from a farm".
Amy Diamond is hoping for as many votes as possible from local viewers.

Sadly, we have to report that Amy was deselected from the programme on April 3, 2010 - but she said she enjoyed her time!
