TV newcomer Jay Ruckley stars alongside veteran actor James Bolam.

A ten year old boy from Barry stars in a new children's comedy series on the digital TV channel CBeebies this month.

Grandpa In My Pocket stars veteran actor James Bolam (New Tricks) with Welsh newcomer Jay Ruckley.

The series takes a light hearted look at the relationship between grandparent and grandchild.

Jay plays Jason Mason, the imaginative grandson who knows that when Grandpa wears his magic shrinking cap all sorts of comic capers ensue.

Grandpa is playful and mischievous but always a force for good.

Together, he and Jason make a great team and have a host of hilarious adventures.

When Grandpa puts his cap on, he becomes small enough to fit into Jason's pocket, not to mention his toy plane and car.

He turns up in all sorts of unlikely places and creates comic mayhem which Jason has to sort out.

The series also stars Susan Jameson as Jason's eccentric Great Aunt Loretta and features guest appearances from Rula Lenska, Meera Syal and Lisa Goddard as some of the larger than life characters that inhabit Grandpa and Jason's world.

Grandpa In My Pocket can be seen on CBeebies on week days at 5.30pm.
