Music
If you've ever fancied visiting the historic town of Monmouth, late July and early August is a good time to go. The town's annual festival brings the place alive for nine days with a showcase of local and international music, comedy and street theatre. Head for Blestium Street car park for the main acts. (Friday 24 July to Saturday 1 August)
Community
Are you aged 9 or above? Do you want to learn new dance moves and create a brand new dance performance? The Dance summer school at Ebbw Vale's Beaufort Theatre could be for you. (Monday 27 to Friday 31 July)
You don't need a beach to surf. Join Calypso Aquajuice near St John's Church in the centre of Cardiff on 28 July and ride your first wave. A specially constructed arena will offer people of all ages the chance to try the latest surf sport from the US - Street Surfing - for free. (Tuesday 28 July)
Looking for something interesting and different to do during the school holidays? Why not venture to the Winding House in New Tredegar and become an Archaeological Detective? There's a series of fun, hands-on activities for all ages. (Tuesday 28 to Friday 31 July)
