Teacher's song for polar bears

Teacher and songwriter Tom Rugg from Tintern, Monmouthshire, has enjoyed an internet hit with The Polar Bear Song, written to raise awareness of climate change among children.

He talks to Roy Noble of BBC Radio Wales about his subsequent travels to Hudson Bay, Canada, to record a video diary about the impact of global warming on Arctic wildlife.

Tom is now helping develop a sustainable curriculum for Year 7 pupils at Chepstow Comprehensive School, looking at ways of saving resources.

The Polar Bear Song video diary can be seen on BBC Two Wales on Wednesday 2 December at 2320 GMT - click here to watch it via the BBC iPlayer for the following seven days
