Slapping Skins to make a living


A musician from Bridgend is drumming up business with his love of percussion.

Aaron Meli gave up teaching English in Japan to set up Slapping Skins, offering percussion workshops and repairs.

Gemma Collins visited Aaron at his studio for Wales at Work on BBC Radio Wales.

He says staff at his local JobCentre took some convincing that he had a viable business idea but won support under the New Deal for Musicians.
