Jewish refugees boosted valleys industry


Eddie Butler explores how Jewish refugees brought industry and employment to the south Wales valleys, and as a result, changed the traditional role of the Welsh 'mam'.

The Treforest Industrial Estate near Pontypridd was a particular focus for light industrial companies set up by Jewish refugees employing hundreds of local people.
