Torchwood star Gareth David-Lloyd appears in a film made in support of a theatre group facing closure due to funding cuts.
Gwent Theatre, a theatre in education group based in Abergavenny, has launched a public campaign against a decision by the Arts Council of Wales to end its annual grant of £250,000.
Managers say the organisation will be wound up in December unless there is a last minute change of heart by the ACW or they find alternative sources of funding.
Gareth, who played Ianto in the BBC Wales sci-fi drama, says he was a lonely child who found friendship and a career through his involvement with Gwent Theatre.
This film and a series of five adverts have been published on YouTube as part of the campaign to save the theatre.
