Simon was presenting radio shows at the age of just 19.
He became a well-known personality through his work with the BBC - he was seen by millions as the face of Children's BBC, Top of the Pops and The O Zone.
Following five years as a frontline presenter for the BBC, he joined GMTV as one of their launch presenters.
Simon has also appeared on many high-profile shows, including The Royal Variety Performance, Children in Need, The Word and Masterchef, and he was given a Gotcha by Noel Edmonds!
A family man, he lives in Somerset with his wife, Celina, and his two young children, Charlie and Emily.
